The Leylands

Made for the March Magic game jam, The Leylands is not only a simple game set in a world where magic coalesces into human forms, but is also the first game I've made!

The Leylands are the name of the endless prairies and plains that make up the world. Ambient magic in the air in the Ley Lines are pushed by the wind, and when the winds collide and the storms roil them, they mix and form together into dangerous humanoid figures, named Leylocks, that go running through the plains, slaughtering everything in their path, immune to human blades and weapons.

Luckily for the inhabitants of this world, there are Mages who can alone harm the Leylocks through their magic, which also, as it is condensed together as they cast it, takes a humanoid form.

In this game involving 2-5 players, including a GM, you try to protect the communities living on the Leylands against Leylocks, bandits, drought, severe storms, disease and whatever threats the GM may decide to push upon you as magical phenomena twist the world!
